Dan & Jonah

May 17, 2025

As we contemplated all the different places we could have our wedding, our ideas took us all over the world. We decided to go back to where it all started, and that a post-Derby wedding in Louisville was the way to go.

Dan & Jonah

The Grooms

It all started in the wild world of social media, where our profiles met, matched, and sparked.

As our romance blossomed, the pandemic hit. While others were learning to bake sourdough and stockpiling toilet paper, we took on the ultimate relationship challenge: isolating together in Louisville. We mastered the fine arts of ordering takeout, binge-watching, and turning our living room into a dance floor.

Once the world reopened, Jonah followed his dream of working at Disney while we managed a long-distance relationship that made even Disney’s greatest love stories look easy. After some magical adventures and a lot of frequent flyer miles, Jonah returned home, and we were reunited.

Once Jonah returned, we took off on globetrotting adventures together. From the romantic streets of Italy to the vibrant beaches of Mexico, we expanded our horizons and friend circles, collecting stories, souvenirs, and an occasional sunburn.

Then, in a classic tale of love and career moves, we packed our bags and headed to Texas for Dan’s new job. Texas had bigger skies and bigger BBQs and was the perfect place for us to dream even bigger.

It didn’t take long for us to realize that the next step in our journey was just around the corner.

So here we are, ready to tie the knot and continue writing our story together.

Thanks for loving and supporting us on our adventure—we can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us!

Dan & Jonah

The Pawsome Posse

Bella

Bella’s boundless energy to fetch a tennis ball, and joyful spirit turn every moment into a happy memory. Her playful antics and loving nature make her the perfect companion, always spreading love and light wherever she goes

Buddy

Buddy is a golden retriever with a boundless love for life and an endless supply of curiousity – except when it comes to cardboard boxes! While he fearlessly tackles every cuddle and play session, he’s certain those boxes are secretly hatching a master plan, one flap at a time.

Baloo

Baloo is the epitome of sweetness, with a loving nature that melts hearts everywhere he goes. Whether he’s snuggling up for a cozy nap or offering a gentle nudge for attention, Baloo’s warmth and affection make every moment with him feel extra special.

Dan’s Retinue

Best Woman

Susan is the ultimate partner in crime and a beacon of support. She’s the friend who makes every adventure brighter and every challenge easier.

Rose Dzur

Groomswoman

Rose is the kind of friend who turns every moment into a cherished memory. Her infectious laugh and warm heart make every gathering and spreadsheet more joyous,

Melissa Leary

Groomswoman

Melissa’s culinary skills, zest for life, and surprising talent for gangster rap have always been a source of inspiration. Her kindness and energy light up every room she enters.

Laura Moore

Groomswoman

Laura and Dan hit it off immediately thanks to their mutual friend Susan. Laura is the epitome of grace and fun, and their shared experiences have woven a tapestry of beautiful memories.

Jeff Perry

Groomsman

Jeff is the infamous bad idea fairy, whose wild suggestions often lead to unforgettable stories and laughter. His spontaneity and sense of humor have made our friendship a thrilling ride.

PJ Sheridan

Groomsman

Jonah’s Assembly

Benett McEwen

Best Man

From riding bikes together to sharing laughter in class, or jumping on the trampoline as kids, Benett has been a constant in Jonah’s life. They both navigated the challenges of school, celebrated victories, and now Benett will stand by Jonah’s side as he embarks on this new chapter. When they found out their birthdays were only two days apart that was just the beginning of a lifelong friendship; Benett’s unwavering support and camaraderie make him the perfect choice for this important role in the wedding.

Ethan Lemonds

Groomsman

Ethan and Jonah share a cherished history. Since Jonah was just five years old, Jonah and Ethan have been inseparable. The bond between the brothers was forged over countless hours of gaming through the Wii, PS2, and Nintendo DS. And that bond has only grown stronger over the years. From virtual adventures to real-life milestones, Ethan’s presence has been a constant source of joy and support.

Tyler Sperry

Groomsman

Ty and Jonah both crossed paths during the Disney College Program in 2021—a time of adventure, learning, and creating memories, and nights with one too many wine bottles. Ty’s exceptional communication skills make connecting with others effortless, and his genuine love for everyone shines through in every interaction. Whether it’s a heartfelt conversation or a lighthearted moment, Ty’s presence always brightens the room.

Alex Taylor

Groomsman

Alex’s humor transcends mere jokes; it’s an art form. Whether it was a witty comeback during class or a hilarious meme shared late at night, Alex always knows how to make someone crack a smile. The baseball diamond was where Jonah and Alex first met. Sleepovers at Alex’s house were like stepping into a parallel universe. The gang would raid the fridge for snacks, stay up way past the bedtime playing call of duty, and scour YouTube for hours looking for funny videos.

Jacob Jones

Groomsman
Jake embodies the spirit of adventure. Whether it’s exploring abandoned buildings or venturing to quirky cafés, he’s always up for something new. Jake’s love for kitties and plants is endearing—his house resembles a cozy jungle, with feline companions weaving through lush greenery. When Jonah and Jake are out and about they’re usually playing Pokémon GO. But beyond the adventures and foliage, Jake played a pivotal role in Jonah’s journey of life, he stood by Jonah, encouraging self-acceptance, and lighthearted humor.

Brian Claudio

Groomsman

Brian, Jonah’s steadfast friend, is a blend of adrenaline and compassion. Together, Jonah and Brian would always ride skateboards in their free time, “mastering” tricks and sharing laughter under the sun. But their appetite for adventure extended beyond the ramps. When the wheels stopped spinning, the two would retreat to the nearest couch, controllers in hand, navigating virtual worlds together. Sophomore year brought a twist of fate: Brian, the new kid, slid into the empty seat next to Jonah at lunch. From that serendipitous moment, the friendship only blossomed.

Vivienne Lemonds

Jr. Groomswoman

Jonah’s sister Vivi is a bundle of joy! Though she starts off shy, once you get to know her, she won’t stop talking, filling the room with her vibrant energy. She’s like a mini-me and the girl version of Jonah. Vivi and Jonah have the best time hanging out, especially during the Starbucks or Target runs. Vivi is passionate about softball, and they often find themselves playing Roblox together, creating unforgettable memories!

The Officiant

Will Baumgardner

Will, our charming officiant, is the friend we never knew we needed until Susan introduced us. His wisdom, humor, and heartfelt approach make him the perfect person to lead us through our vows.

Dan’s Parents

Lee and Diane Deem

Lee and Diane Deem are the proud parents of Dan, known for their love, laughter, and endless encouragement. Their warm spirits and joyful energy make them the heart of every celebration

Jonah’s Parents

Justin and Amy Lemonds

Justin and Amy, have always been Jonah’s biggest supporters. They have countless memories of swimming at the neighbor’s pool, laughing and splashing around. The family trips to Disney World were magical and frequent, filled with adventure and joy. Travel baseball games were a whirlwind of excitement and chaos, but they were always there, cheering Jonah on. Their unwavering support for Jonah’s ambitions means the world to him, and he couldn’t ask for better parents.
